Some people after listening to Jesus said that indeed He is a prophet and He is the Messiah. Others said no because of His background. They said no prophet would come out of Galilee but in Bethlehem. Jesus didn't go to convince these bible scholars that He was born in Bethlehem.
The soldiers who had gone to arrest Him but couldn't. After listening to Him, they concluded that no one spoke like Jesus.
We see here that the there is no need to prove to others who doubt that God chose us. God Himself will bear witness in the hearts of those listening to us.
The Jews concluded that Jesus was deceiving people. There will always be fault-finders along the way but we shouldn't allow them to distract us from the path God has chosen for us.
Everyone went home but Jesus went to the mount of olives. This teaches us that the appreciations and fault-findings of men are just for a short time. Don't let them affect you by making you proud or discouraged.
After Jesus blessing the crowd, no one bothered to ask Him where He would spend His night. He didn't have any complaints in His heart that these people He was blessing were very ungrateful and couldn't even invite Him for a night. Have you blessed people and they forget all about you and are not bothered with something you need and they have ability to help you but won't? Don't complain or curse them in your heart. Learn from Jesus not to make demands on others even if you have blessed them. Learn contentment. Godliness with contentment is great gain. 1Tim 6:6-8.
Jesus also could use His power to make others allow Him spend the night in their house. He didn't force people but gave them freedom to do things willingly.
The power God gives us; we should not use it to take advantage of others and and make benefits for ourselves. From Jesus we learn that power is only to be used to bless others and get nothing for ourselves.
Early in the morning He went to the temple and people came and sat down to listen to Him. No one bothered to ask Him whether He had taken breakfast or where He spent the night and that didn't bother Jesus.
When you find that people are not concerned about you yet you have been a blessing to them; does that bother you? Do you have any complaints in your heart? Learn from Jesus. Ask God to help you not to be bothered by the things that don't bother Him and that only the things that bother Him should bother you.
Jesus was concerned about blessing the crowds who listened to Him only not how comfortable He slept, or how delicious the supper or breakfast He took.
Learn from Jesus and have the right priorities.
You are blessed to be a blessing
