JOHN 9:32-41. THE MESSAGE OF THE GOSPELS

The man who was healed said that since creation, such a miracle never happened and that such a miracle was impossible without the help of God.

They hardened their hearts to the facts and asked the man whether he was trying to teach them yet He was born in sin. We see here that prejudice blinds people even in obvious facts.

We must try to learn to get rid of the prejudices we have acquired through the years and the belief that the way we do things is the way that everyone else must follow and if others do in a different way, they are wrong. We must learn to give allowance to others who may do things slightly different from us and also make allowance for ourselves that we also may probably be wrong. We are not the standard, and we must cease to judge others by our own standards. Jesus Christ alone is the standard in all things, and each of us is blind in many areas in our lives and thus we must learn to mind our own business and concentrate on the Lord to see the areas in our individual lives where we need to change, or improve or repent of; we must not concentrate on others who are not your responsibility to see what is wrong with them. Learn to live in the area of your responsibility.

After the man was cast out of the synagogue, Jesus finding him asked whether he believed in the Son of man and he asked who He was and Jesus answered he was the one, and the man believed and worshipped.

We see here that true faith always leads us to worship Jesus.

Jesus said that He came for judgement that the blind may see and those who see maybe made blind.

Here we see the danger of pride and the beauty of humility. If you think you know, God will make sure you blind or your life, but if you humble yourself and seek God to open your eyes, God will give you light. Everyone is blind many areas but only a few acknowledge they don't know and need Gods help and it's only to such that God there eyes and the rest wonder around in blindness.

The Pharisees asked whether they were blind and Jesus replied that if they were blind they would have no sin but because they said they see, their sin remains.

We see here that if we think we are righteous, we'll remain in sin but if we have the attitude that "Lord, I maybe displeasing you and and sinning unconsciously against you, Lord give me light" to such God opens their eyes to see what displeases God in their lives and they turn from it, but those who have the attitude, "am alright, there is nothing wrong with me, but there are many things wrong with others" such will live in darkness all their lives displeasing God thinking that God is pleased with them when He is not.

Thus we can say that judging others blinds us but judging ourselves rightly opens our eyes.

The energy you have to judge, don't use it on others but judge yourself instead.
