JOHN19:1-18 THE MESSAGE OF THE GOSPELS .

Pilate whipped Jesus and the soldiers made a crown of thorns and put it on His head. They mocked Him as the king of the Jews and slapped Him.

Pilate took Jesus outside and said that He found no guilt in Him. They put a purple on Him and brought Him out.

The chief priests and the officers cried out that He be crucified. The chief priests were the preachers of those days. They preached every Sabbath from the bible but they were far from knowing the truth. They were still blind.

Even today, many people are blind to the real Jesus, and many even preach every Sunday but they are very far from Jesus. It's good to have a personal knowledge of Christ. Seek Him for yourself.

The Jews said He must be crucified for making Himself the Son of God. Pilate, full of fear, asked Jesus where He was from. Jesus gave no answer.

Jesus did not answer all the questions. When it concerned His authority, He answered, but others, He just kept silent.

We don't have to always answer our accusers. Silence also is part of answering as a disciple.

Pilate tried to threaten Jesus telling Him that He had authority to release Him. Jesus, I'm the dignity of a king said that He had no authority over Him except what He was given by the Father.

Without God's permission, Pilate was powerless against Jesus; in the same way, there is no authority, wherever, that has any power over a true disciple except what God allows.

Jesus said that Judas had a greater sin for betraying Him. Pilate tried to release Jesus but the crowd threatened Him that he would be no Caesers friend, and trying to protect His position, He handed Jesus over to be crucified.

They took Jesus bearing His own cross, to Golgotha. They crucified Him with two thieves.

What wrong had Jesus done? Nothing; He only did good to the people who crucified Him. He healed some of them who had been sick, He fed them, He performed miracles for them, wherever He went, He only did good. The appreciation for all the good He did was crucifixion.

In the same way, never be intimidated if the people you did good to them turn against you. Jesus did not curse them, but only forgave them. Through His death, the blood spoke of forgiveness not vengeance.

Let us also follow Jesus example Here; that even though those we have done good to them turn against us and crucify us, we will not threaten, nor curse, but only forgive and bless more.

That crucifixion you face will only turn for better, for God causes all things to work together for good to those who love Him.

You are blessed to be a blessing
