KNOWING CHRIST III

STUDY III For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. 2Cor 4:6 Paul explains that Gods purpose of saving us is that we may see His glory. His glory is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. If you are to see someone's face clearly, you must be near them, and you must be sorted together communing with them. God desires that we may have a continuous fellowship with Christ. The bible says that we are sitted together with Christ in the heavenly places. Eph 2:6 When our eyes are upon Jesus we see the glory of God. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. 2Cor 3:18 Here we learn that as we see the glory of the Lord in the face of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit also transforms us into the same image, from one degree of glory to another. We become more and more Christlike. If at the end of an year you have not become Christianlike it's only because you have not been in communion with Christ. You have not been looking unto Christ but you let other things distract you. The goal and purpose of God for our lives is that we become like Christ. He predestined us to be conformed to the image of Christ. Rom 8:29. Whenever you are going to a place, you always have the destination in mind. Every minute should lead you closer to the destination if you are in the right direction but if you are getting further from the destination, it's because you are in the wrong direction. In the same way, if you are not becoming more like Christ each year, which is God's destination for us, you are going the wrong direction. Come to the right direction which is communing with Christ. Make fellowship with Christ the most important thing in your life. As you become more and more like Christ, there is an aroma that comes out of your life. Your life has a fragrance wherever you go. But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is adequate for these things? 2Cor 2:14-16 We see also that there is constant victory through Christ....He always leads us in triumph. If we are are to live a life of overcoming every time, every circumstance, it's only found in Christ. Who is adequate for this things?
