KNOWING CHRIST IV

STUDY IV My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. The more priests there are, the more they sin against me. They have exchanged the glory of God for the shame of idols. Hos 4:6-7 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. John 10:10 The way the devil succeeds in destroying lives and destinies is through lack of knowledge. It through knowledge that lives and destinies are preserved and the devil has no place. Through knowledge the righteous will be delivered. Prov 11:9b Deliverance from the traps of the enemy is through knowledge. Seeking to know God and Christ more and more is the way of our deliverance. Are you pursuing a greater knowledge of God in your life? Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. Is 5:13-15 The devil leads God's people to captivity through ignorance. You maybe sincere but that will not save you. You must have knowledge if you are to escape the captivity of the enemy. If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” John 8:31-32 It is the truth that we know that sets us free. The more truth we know, the more that truth sets us free. If we are to experience all that God has for us, then we must seek to know all He is. Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life...John 14:6 Dryness in life and ministry is because there is no knowledge of God, and for this reason the bible says that hell has enlarged itself to receive more and more because multitudes without the knowledge of God will go there. Seeking a personal knowledge of God is not an option if we are to enter into all that God has for us in this life and afterlife. John 17:17 says that Gods word is truth, and God's words talks about Christ. John 5:39, Luke 24:44. Christ and God have revealed themselves in the bible. Our bible studies should be reading us to a greater personal of God and Christ, not to a doctrine. Academic studies of the Bible will not change us, but a study to see Christ will. Does your bible reading lead you to a greater knowledge of doctrine or Christ? Are there areas in your life that you are a captives, areas without breakthrough, or almost feeling amazing almost there, or areas where you are always going in circles? There is a knowledge that you lack and when you find it, you will be free. Christ purchased your freedom. Appropriate it in your life through knowledge.
