KNOWING CHRIST IX

STUDY IX And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. Ps 9:10 “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. Ps 91:14 The more we know the Lord, the more unreservedly we will trust Him. The more we know Christ, the more we will seek Him. The more we know Him, the more secure we will be. The more we know Him, the more at peace and at rest our hearts will be. Whatever may come our way, God has promised deliverance for those who know Him. God will protect from all harm, from all alarms, from the wicked one, all those who know Him. You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Isaiah 26:3 We see that all unrest and all anxieties only find place when we remove our focus from Him. As long as our thoughts are fixed on the Lord, seeking to see Him, seeking to know Him, our hearts will always be in perfect peace and rest. All turmoil comes when we look elsewhere fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, ...For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Heb 12:2-3 We see that the only way to stay refreshed in our walk with God, the only way to overcome discouragement is if we fix our eyes on Jesus. If we continually seek to know Him more and more, if we make this the purpose and direction in our own lives, we will ever stay fresh and juicy in our service to the King. Oh, that we may know Him more, He who gave His life for us. Oh that we may hunger more to know Him who died on the cross. Oh that God would open our eyes to see Him who paid the ransom for us. Oh that we may see the folly of pursuing vanity. Oh that every other hunger may be dried in us and only the hunger of knowing Him more and more may remain.
